Dear Visitor,
The Kaposvár Campus of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences is a diverse institution. As Campus Director, I am extremely proud that we can significantly contribute to the creation of a new, innovative, multidisciplinary university by preserving the values and traditions of the predecessor Kaposvár University. I believe that within the framework of MATE, the Kaposvár Campus has a special significance, and our talents and the successes and achievements of the past decades predestine us to achieve this. It is no exaggeration to say that Kaposvár has one of the greenest and most beautiful campuses in the country. However, young people are attracted to Kaposvár not only because of its unique milieu and infrastructure, but also because of its friendly atmosphere. Our aim is to provide marketable knowledge, a supportive environment, plenty of contacts, numerous scholarship opportunities and lifelong friendships to those who choose us. As one of our recent graduates put it, "It started out as a practical choice, but the Kaposvár Campus turned out to be the best decision of my life." We work to ensure that all our students feel the same way about their years here. We believe that there is strength in our diversity. Artist and teacher training continues to play an important role in the institution, which is basically focused on agriculture, and our business graduates are in demand in the labor market. We are also extremely proud of the research carried out here, which is published in the most prestigious national and international journals. It is important that not only our trainings contribute to the development of the economy of the county and the region. After all, it is our mission is to make our campus a kind of knowledge center. We are also proud to demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility through a wide range of programs. The Animal Breeding Days of Kaposvár, the Senior Education Program for the elderly or the talent development of disadvantaged children are as important to us as quality education and research. It is also our credo: with the pride of the past, the tasks of the present and our commitment to the future.
